Today's helpful tip addresses one of the most common questions we receive:
"How can we quickly check if the safety data sheets we receive from our suppliers are actually compliant?"
Below, I present a checklist we've developed based on our experiences. These safety data sheets will successfully pass an inspection, saving you time and hassle with customers:

Does the safety data sheet include the intended use?

What is the emergency contact number?

Is the mixture classification correct (based on the data for individual substances in the mixture)?

Are the correct precautionary statements (P-statements) specified in the labeling?

Is the entire document written in the recipient's language?

Are local exposure limits for hazardous substances at the workplace listed?

Are biological limit values for individual substances specified?

Is the local personal protective equipment specified?

Is the UN number determination appropriate based on the type of hazard?

Is the local legislation on which the safety data sheet is based specified?
This checklist might seem boring to you. However, it's far less tedious than dealing with safety data sheets that could halt your sales or result in fines, not to mention how unprofessional you might appear to business partners.
If you want to sell without worries, it's good to know if any of your safety data sheets are missing or not considering one or more of the listed points. Use the above checklist for a quick compliance check.
