Do I need to notify every packaging size when it comes to PCN notifications?

Here’s a classic client question you might also face:

"Do I need to submit a PCN for 100 mL, 1 L, and 5 L separately?"

In most cases no.

If the composition, intended use, classification and labelling are the same across sizes, you can group all packaging units into a single PCN.

But:

  • You must list each nominal quantity of the product in packaging in the notification
  • Make sure they’re all compliant and clearly shown on the label.

Pro tip: Notify all relevant sizes up front. If you add a size later, an update will be needed.

Have more sizes to manage or unsure how to present them? Let’s talk. We’ll help you sort it out quickly.
