Clients often ask:
"We’re selling the same product in multiple EU countries. Do we need a PCN for each one?"
It’s a great question - and the answer is both simple and strategic.
No, you don’t need five separate notifications. Not if you plan ahead.
A single PCN submission can cover multiple countries, if you indicate those markets in the notification.
However, here’s where it gets tricky:
- You’ll need language specific toxicological data (from product’s SDSs)
- You must include compliant labels and packaging units for each market
- Some countries (like Italy, Hungary and Belgium) charge official fees
Pro tip: It’s often more efficient and cost-effective to bundle countries into one PCN if the product details don’t vary across markets.
