18th Adaptation to technical and scientific progress (18th ATP) to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 3 May 2022:

“COMMISSION DELEGATED REGULATION (EU) 2022/692
of 16 February 2022 amending, for the purposes of its adaptation to technical and scientific progress, Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures”


It brings changes to the classification and labelling of some existing harmonized substances and adds new harmonized substances in Part 3 of Annex VI.

Quick overview in numbers:
- 39 new entries with an index number,
- 17 existing index number entries are replaced,
- 1 entry is deleted (615-007-00-X).

It shall apply from 23 November 2023.

However, substances and mixtures may, before 23 November 2023 be classified, labelled and packaged in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 as amended by this Regulation.
