17th Adaptation to technical and scientific progress (17th ATP) to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) has been published in the the Official Journal of the European Union on 28 May 2021:
“COMMISSION DELEGATED REGULATION (EU) 2021/849
amending, for the purposes of its adaptation to technical and scientific progress, Part 3 of Annex VI to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures”
It brings changes to the classification and labelling of some existing harmonized substances and adds new harmonized substances in Part 3 of Annex VI.
Quick overview in numbers:
- 22 new entries with an index number,
- 39 existing index number entries are replaced,
- 1 entry is deleted.
It shall apply from 17 December 2022.
However, substances and mixtures may, before 17 December 2022 be classified, labelled and packaged in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 as amended by this Regulation.
