Chemical inspectors have begun to conduct inspections of hazardous chemicals sold on the World Wide Web.

They are mainly monitoring the sales of consumer goods and professional products available in private companies' online stores and on marketing platforms, such as Amazon and eBay.

What are they monitoring?

They are interested in whether customers are informed of the content of hazardous substances in the product prior to the completion of the purchase and whether the requirements under the CLP and REACH and Biocidal Products Regulations are met.

An important fact is that inspections cover the monitoring of online product information and online advertisements as well as on-site inspection.
